Bishop Harold Miller, on the week he announced his forthcoming retirement, spoke on BBC about new liturgy regarding the death of children prior to birth or just after birth. The Church of Ireland has produced a series of services which are suitable for a recognition and naming of a child who has died. A suitable funeral rite is available too.
The interview on Sunday Sequence is sensitive in the extreme, not least because Bishop Harold shared his own family experience of miscarriage.
