Lighting the Fire

A dedicated and prayerful bunch of people gathered on St Patrick’s Evening at our churches to light a beacon to demonstrate our hope that the Light of the Gospel would fill the hearts and lives of the people of this land.
We thank those who offered, prepared and fuelled the two Fire Pits, and Ray, Keith, Vera and Stephen for leading the short act of worship which preceded the lighting of the beacons.

We leave it to you to decide which was the brightest beacon, as they can be seen on the diocesan website, along with one or two other parishes’ attempts.
