Sunday 2023-12-31
It is almost new year and we finish 2023 with worship in our churches once more.
For some it may be an opportunity to express their regrets and sorrows for how they have handled 2023. For others it may be a moment to give thanks for the good things that have come about in the year past. For most of us it will be a little bit of both.
Let us resolve to end the year as we hope to begin the next one, with expressions of trust and thanksgiving in and to Almighty God.
- To be present among the worshipping people of God if we are able
- To be honest with God as we bare our hearts in true repentance and genuine hope
- To be there for others around us who need us to stand along side them to share in their triumphs and their griefs.
