Christmas Tree Lights up Boardmills (a little!)
The weather was cold crisp and clear as the community around Killaney church gathered to light the Christmas Tree in front of the church on Sunday 3rd December.
A team from the parish had gathered earlier in the week to array the church with its annual display. There was a crib, foliage, candles and flowers, along with the indoor Tree, and the doors were open for our guests to enjoy the lovely scene.
After singing carols – led in seasonal flair by members of the NI Brass Ensemble – Alison and Johnny Gray pressed the button to light the community tree to the delight of all present.
Refreshments followed the short service and the children’s gifts and adult treats were a welcome conclusion to the evening. Thank you to Gareth for the Gazebo, the NI Brass Ensemble for the music, the donors and makers of food and all who made this a great start to the season.
