Mothers’ Union News
What strange times we have all been living through!!
Communion at last!
Our last Mothers’ Union meeting was in March and it seems a distant memory. What a blessing it was that Stephen agreed to hold a special communion service for MU members on Wednesday 7th October. This was the first congregational communion service held in the Church since lockdown.
15 members of the Mothers’ Union attended the socially distanced service.
We were delighted to be joined by our Diocesan President Roberta Macartney and her husband Diocesan Chaplain Gerald who preached at the service. Thanks to all who made the effort to attend.
Christmas Gifts for Women’s Aid
It was decided at the service that we should collect some Christmas gifts to give to those women who will have to spend the Christmas season in Women’s Aid Shelters.
Please can you bring any small gifts – jewellery, scarves, candles, perfume etc. to Church by Sunday 8th November.
