Water: a dangerous blessing

For many believers, the gift of Baptism in water is a rich source of blessing and identity for them. Is that all? In what ways is this blessing also a danger? How did Jesus’ baptism prepare him for death, and should we see his death for us at the heart of this simple act of faith?
